Hey Abby and Karen,

(Karen thought you looked familiar, we are following each other.) And Abby, I love your intro music to the podcast. May I ask where you got something so hip?

Great tagline. Yes, “you suck” doesn’t help anyone feel good enough about themselves to change their own destiny.

“Damn I deserve a super life!” is a much better story. Enjoyed the message, “every time i overate it was an attempt to take care of myself.” Powerful message of rebirth.

Excellent point about terrorism. It can’t exist without the approval of women. Also that dreaded female circumcision – women do it to their daughters/nieces/etc.

Like the links. Very helpful. Great verbs in this podcast – swallow, tangled – juicy! (I write and teach personal essay writing and go crazy over strong verbs.)

Thanks! Giulietta

Giulietta, what a powerful point about female circumcision… what terrorism. So much there about it’s origins, history, objectives, and the worst part, a young girl held down by her mother who knows exactly what kind of pain her daughter is going to suffer as she is mutilated -because the mother has endured the excruciating,

We teach so many things to our next generation, in too many ways, like… other people will decide if we are allowed pleasure. That it is more important that we suffer needlessly, often horrendously, in order that other people feel comfortable.

Thank you so much for your thoughts, Giulietta, you sure gave me some more food for mine… Your students are lucky to have you.

Hey, Giulietta —

Sooooo glad you enjoyed the interview with Karen. She is such a natural at telling her and her clients’ stories. Loved all of her metaphors.

BTW, as a former high school English teacher and lifelong writer, I am in love with the strong, vivid verb, too! Glad you appreciate.

I sourced the music for my podcast by Googlng “royalty free music for podcasts,” and variations thereof. There’s lots of good stuff out there. Just takes some digging!

Wow, Abby, what a great intro! You know how I can hardly get the Itas off their -lovely- asses these days? (The Itas sure have a lot of energy and team spirit these days, especially when they want to yell “lovely!”)

Jesus my ears.

As I was trying to say, amazingly they could trouble themselves to get all lively when they heard their names.

And you mentioned Harriet in the intro, too… :-)

You know what I wish I could do to you… Squeeeeeeze! (Good that I’m can jostle with the best of them, what with the Itas and Harriet trying to bust a move to you first.)

Gosh, lady, thanks. We had a great convo, didn’t we? I have a feeling you’re helping to free a few bad diet slaves just by their listening to this audio!

Thanks to your lips – with your questions – to their ears. You know how I would love it!! Whatever I can do to help that bad diet slave. Oooh! Speaking of Harriet Tubman, Catherine had sent me a link to a great video that I had tweeted and posted on FB Effindiets, and I should have mentioned it, I have a feeling that you might enjoy… http://youtu.be/U5tAvZ_6t_g
