One VOICE PROFILE client was concerned the other day that I might not be able to ‘read’ her voice because her archives aren’t very deep.
Truth is, I can read a voice from three blog posts, from static site copy, or from a Tweetstream alone. I am totally psyched for your new e-course!
Here’s my current challenge with building relationships with my online audience:
I’m moving into a place of acceptance that “blogging” doesn’t light me up. I could try to force it. But the truth is, it’s not my Thing. My intuition tells me there is another way to build relationships with my people that doesn’t hinge on how many awesome posts I turn out. I’d love for you to touch on this in your e-course if possible– i.e., expanding our means of conversation beyond the blog.

Hi, Jac! I’m psyched that you’re psyched. :)
I completely empathize with not being in love with blogging. While in general I see any type of consistent, quality written content as a tremendous asset to a brand in this age, I also hold that a blog is not the one and only connection tool to build convo with an online audience. It’s NOT the best tool for every business or brand.
I’m really excited to see the direction you’re heading in for building out this deeper convo with your people in a way that highlights your strengths and gifts and serves your audience right where they’re at.
Am most definitely planning to address the online-convo-beyond-blogging in my e-course. Thanks for the nudge. xo
Challenge? Feeling confident that I have found my voice and what I am trying to share before I start trying to find people who might want to read it. Feeling what I have to say and share is of value to someone else.

Thanks for giving feedback here. I wonder if part of finding your voice — and your people — is writing your way INTO your voice and TOWARD those people. The thing about voice is that is doesn’t quite arrive fully formed. We’re all in some stage of experimentation and iteration. Where you are today will meet someone else right where she’s at. :)
